Cactus Flat Shooting Range — Penrose, CO

A public-access shooting facility offering trap, skeet, and centerfire rifle and pistol ranges. It features five trap fields, one skeet field, and outdoor ranges for handguns (25 yards) and rifles (50 yards). The facility also provides safety courses and concealed carry classes. Cactus Flats Shooting Range is primarily known for its extensive clay target setup. While the range accommodates centerfire rifles and handguns on its 25 and 50-yard outdoor ranges, it maintains a strict "no picking up brass/empties" policy for safety and event efficiency.

Know before you go

  • Firearms must remain unloaded with actions open when not firing.
  • No shooters may pick up empty shell casings off the ground.
