Cahaba River WMA Shooting Range — Helena, AL

A state-operated public shooting facility offering rifle and pistol lanes at 25, 50, and 100 yards, along with a dedicated shotgun clay target range. It is managed by the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (ADCNR) and requires a state license for access.

Know before you go

  • A valid Alabama hunting, heritage, fishing, or WMA license is required for all users aged 16–64.
  • All users must check in with the Range Officer at the Range House before use.
  • Armor-piercing, tracer, incendiary, or explosive ammunition is strictly prohibited.
