Cresap Rifle Club — Shooting Range in Frederick, MD

Historic, non-profit, member-maintained outdoor shooting range established in 1928. Provides covered rifle, pistol, and black powder firing lanes and is open to the public on Sundays (10:00–15:00) on a limited basis.

  • Public Range Fee (Non-Member) - first hour: $20 / hourly
  • Public Range Fee (Member) - first hour: $0 / hourly
  • Additional Hour (Non-Member): $5 / hourly
  • Ear plugs (pair): $1 / per use
  • Eye protection (pair): $3 / per use
  • Bottled water / soda: $1 / per use

Know before you go

  • No rapid fire; all shots must be controlled and deliberate.
  • Holstered firearms are strictly prohibited (must be cased or action open).
  • .50 BMG is prohibited.
  • Shotguns restricted to slugs only.
