Hobbs Island Shooting Range — Huntsville, AL

Hobbs Island Shooting Range (HISR) is a members-only shooting complex located just outside of Huntsville, Alabama. The facility features a variety of outdoor shooting opportunities, including ranges spanning 25 to 380 yards, dedicated pistol and action bays, and a specialized steel target park. In addition to its firing lines, the complex includes an indoor classroom for training sessions and provides Type 07 FFL services.

Know before you go

  • The Hobbs Island Shooting Range is a private, members-only facility and does not allow walk-in use by the general public.
  • The use of cell phones is strictly prohibited while on the firing line to prevent potential safety distractions.
  • The range operates on a cycle of twenty minutes hot firing followed by ten minutes of cold cease-fire.
  • The use of glass targets is absolutely forbidden, though paper and plastic jugs placed on backstops are permitted.
