Mike Commander WMA Shooting Range — Albany, GA

The Mike Commander Shooting Range is located on Chickasawhatchee Wildlife Management Area in Dougherty County. This range has been renovated and now includes new rifle and pistol ranges at 200 and 25 yards and new shooting pavilions. Additionally, the range also offers a classroom and bathrooms.

  • Annual Hunting/Fishing License (Resident): $15 / annual
  • One-Day Fishing/Hunting License: $5 / daily
  • Annual Lands Pass: $30 / annual

Know before you go

  • A valid GA hunting license, fishing license, or Lands Pass is required for ages 16 and older to access the range.
  • First-time visitors must watch a safety video and obtain a range card which is valid for one year.
  • All Range Safety Officer (RSO) commands must be obeyed immediately.
  • Firearm actions must remain open when the range is cold.
