Know before you go

  • Visitors must possess both a valid WMA Access Permit (or qualifying Louisiana hunting/fishing license) and a completed Self-Clearing Permit before unpacking gear; RSOs and game wardens strictly enforce these credentials upon arrival.
  • Shooters on the rifle range are strictly required to shoot from a seated position at the concrete benches; standing up to shoot under the safety baffles is prohibited and will trigger immediate RSO intervention.
  • During a 'Cease Fire,' all firearms must be unloaded, actions locked open, and physically placed in the gun racks located behind the shooting line; handling firearms or gear on the back tables while the range is cold is a primary cause for reprimand.
  • A strict 'one-second' cadence limit is enforced; firing faster than one round per second or attempting magazine dumps will result in an instant reprimand or expulsion.
